MONTESSORI TRAINING APPRENTICESHIP ¨ You must speak English to follow this apprenticeship ¨ You must hold a Montessori teacher qualification for the age group you will train for ¨ You may choose to train for one or more of our 5 age groups
The Montessori Training Apprenticeship includes: ¨ Short online course for Adult Learning ¨ Short online course for Teaching Online ¨ 26 days of supervised apprenticeship at Montessori practical workshops ¨ Apprenticeship of online Montessori theory training ¨ Apprenticeship of classroom practice supervision and guidance ¨ Guidance on how to plan curriculum and assessment for Montessori training programmes ¨ Waterpark RECOMMENDS the additional module Montessori Leadership ADD ON (NOT included) 1. Short online course for Adult Learning ̃ An overview of methodology on how to teach adults ̃ Reflective and experiential learning for adults ̃ Lecturing techniques ̃ Assessment techniques ̃ Older and younger adults – different approaches ̃ Know yourself and know your material 2. Short online course for Teaching Online ̃ The differences between classroom and online learning ̃ Keeping students interested online ̃ Educational and technical support for online learners ̃ Keeping records and giving feedback online ̃ Guiding discussions online ̃ Guiding chat-rooms online
3. 26 days of supervised apprenticeship at Montessori practical workshops ¨ The apprentice attends a full practical training programme as an assistant to the main trainer ¨ The trainer guides the apprentice, explaining and discussing the principles behind the practice of training Montessori teachers ¨ The apprentice is supervised and guided in assessing and examining student assignments ¨ The apprentice is gradually given limited training responsibilities ¨ As part of Set Up Your Own Montessori Training Solution the practical workshops will be in your own location. ¨ In other circumstances the practical workshops will take place wherever Waterpark is conducting training 4. Apprenticeship of online Montessori theory training ¨ The apprentice attends a full theoretical training programme online as an assistant to the main tutor ¨ The trainer guides the apprentice, explaining and discussing the principles behind the practice of training Montessori teachers ¨ The apprentice is supervised and guided in assessing and examining student assignments ¨ The apprentice is gradually given limited training responsibilities ¨ This part of the apprenticeship is totally online
5. Apprenticeship of classroom practice supervision and guidance ¨ The apprentice learns how to supervise students in classrooms through online guidance ¨ The apprentice learns how to develop reflective practice in students through online guidance ¨ The apprentice learns how to assess classroom practice observations and assignments ¨ Guidance for the apprentice is conducted online but the apprentice will attend Montessori classrooms to observe students and complete case studies 6. Guidance on how to plan curriculum and assessment for Montessori training programmes ¨ During a second training programme the apprentice conducts training under supervision ¨ The trainer provides guidance on curriculum and assessment ¨ The apprentice practices under supervision, the planning and implementation of curriculum into a training programme 7.
